While the Red Bulls were able to win all four games against the German capital last season, the team is still waiting for a win in this season's duel between the two heavyweights.

However, the last two games were hard-fought. The Polar Bears came out on top at home 2:1 after a penalty shootout, while Berlin took the points from Oberwiesenfeld (6:4) in mid-January thanks to two late goals.

Coach Toni Söderholm's team came back again and again in a highly exciting exchange of blows before Manuel Wiederer completed his hat-trick with a shorthander shortly before the end to put his team on the road to victory.

But the second-placed team is still in the race for the "main round championship" for a reason. Polar bear Zach Boychuk is playing his best season in Germany so far.
