Onetimer against the polar bears: A "typical" Eisenschmid
At the moment, the focus is fully on the ice, as the season has reached the hot phase. There are also parallels to Eisenschmid's passion at the club: the current season has been wavy for the Red Bulls so far. "We're now working on getting consistency in our performances. We played very well over 60 minutes against Bremerhaven," says the right winger.
The result: a 4:2 win for our boys and another Eisenschmid goal. The striker scored for the ninth time in this round. He has scored six goals since December 28 alone. That's no coincidence. "I'm feeling really good at the moment, I've found my confidence and my consistency," he reveals. "I'm not worrying so much anymore. And I want to do everything I can to keep it that way!"
Whether it was rebounds, solo runs or direct shots when outnumbered: Eisenschmid scored from all situations. His one-timer goal in the power play after a cross-ice pass in the game against Eisbären Berlin on January 14 was particularly typical of him. The Kaufbeuren native has an extremely hard and precise shot - positional play has also been a hobbyhorse of the attacker in recent years. "That's how I scored a lot of my goals," he recalls.
Praise for his teammates
But Eisenschmid is also a team player who attributes his strong performances to his teammates. Until last Sunday's game against Bremerhaven, he had formed a forward line with Filip Varejcka and "Klausi" Heigl in recent months. The trio harmonized magnificently, brought a lot of energy to the ice and created plenty of scoring chances.
