Celebration beasts at their best: This is how the Red Bulls' championship party went down// CURRENTOn Sunday, after a five-year break, a championship celebration finally took place again at Oberwiesenfeld. The forecourt of the Olympia-Eisstadion was bursting at the seams, with fans celebrating our team for an outstanding 2022/23 season.
"We have a team here that was the best in the league as a collective," Christian Winkler, Managing Director Sports Red Bull Ice Hockey, started his song of praise for the championship heroes. Winkler continued, "If you saw how the guys celebrated this week, there couldn't have been another champion. No other team would have had that kind of condition."

Countdown to the arrival of the team
The party in front of the Olympia-Eisstadion already started in the early afternoon - at this point still without the Red Bulls. The team first toured the city in a double-decker bus. Meanwhile, stadium announcer Stefan Schneider warmed up the fans and looked back with them on the highlights of this season. As is well known, there were plenty of them. The Flying Steps dance group also provided good entertainment.
And then finally came the big highlight of the day. At 3:57 p.m., to be exact. The team's double-decker bus pulled up at the Olympia-Eisstadion to thunderous applause. First, the coaching staff entered the stage, followed by the players and Winkler, who also informed the fans about the first personnel decisions in this course. Captain Patrick Hager animated the supporters to humba, Trevor Parkes drank his refreshment from his oatshoe.

Fans celebrate Jackson
The mood at boiling point. Only two protagonists were missing: the championship trophy and Don Jackson. "Donny" had announced the end of his great career a few days after his ninth DEL title and reacted visibly moved to the chants of the fans.
Afterwards, the players fulfilled photo and autograph requests and thus ensured beaming faces. "Without the fans, the atmosphere in the stadium would be nothing and without fans, a championship celebration would be nothing. It is very important to thank the fans and share these moments with them," said Konrad Abeltshauser.
In this sense: Goodbye, take care and see you next season at Oberwiesenfeld!
