A title for eternity: Don Jackson calls it a dayDEL record coach ends his coaching career// DON JACKSONAfter winning his ninth DEL championship, Don Jackson is leaving the Red Bulls' coaching bench, but will remain with the organization as Head of Coaching Development. Jackson leaves as a record-breaking coach - and legend.
You should quit when you're at your best. Fortunately, Jackson has not committed himself to this credo, because otherwise he would probably have ended his coaching career long ago. When the US American joined the Red Bulls almost exactly nine years ago, he still had five championship titles to his name. The coaching legend won all of them with the Eisbären Berlin (2008, 2009, 2011, 2012, 2013).
The project of his heart Munich
"I approach my work with all my heart and I know that I will love Munich," Jackson announced in his very first interview with us. "We have a lot of dreams," the former NHL defenseman continued. Many of them have come true. Because in Munich, Jackson ushered in an era of success.

// AKTUELLES
The 66-year-old has been to the final of the German Ice Hockey League six times with the Red Bulls and even made it to the final of the Champions League in 2019. In 2016, 2017 and 2018, he celebrated the second championship triple of his career with our club. Last Sunday, Jackson lifted the DEL championship trophy for the fourth time with Munich and the ninth time overall. All of these successes bore his signature.
The greatest coach of all time
Great, fabulous, illustrious. The search for a worthy adjective for Jackson's achievements is proving difficult. How can 1,072 DEL games (556 with the Red Bulls), nine championships and countless unforgettable moments be expressed in so few letters?

In his 18 years as coach in the German Ice Hockey League, it was his team that cheered after the final siren 705 times (372 times the Red Bulls). That makes a success rate of a whopping 65.8 percent. The statistics are impressive, even astonishing. They are unrivaled in Munich and throughout Germany - and will most likely remain so for a long time. His title as record DEL coach is one for the ages.
Thanks for everything, Don! Congratulations on a unique career!
