Top goalie talent Simon Wolf joins EHC Red Bull MünchenU20 international moves within the Red Bulls' organisation// PERSONNELFour-time German champions Red Bull München are strengthening their goalkeeper position. The 19-year-old Simon Wolf will move from Red Bull Hockey Juniors to the Munich DEL club for the new 2024/25 season.

Over the past two seasons with Red Bull Hockey Junior, Wolf has matured into one of the best goaltenders in the Alps Hockey League (AHL) and an important player for his team. Last season, the native of Schwabach played a major role in winning the Austrian second division championship in the pan-European AHL with a save percentage of 92.7 percent.

"With Simon, a top prospect is moving from the academy to the Munich professional squad," explains Christian Winkler, Managing Director Sports Red Bull Ice Hockey. He "not only won the Austrian championship" with the Red Bull Juniors in 2024, but also "impressively demonstrated his great talent with our Salzburg professional team", Winkler continued.

U20 international complements goalie team with Niederberger, Allavena and Kolarz

Wolf has played for Germany's U16, U18 and U19 national teams since 2019. In the 2023/24 season, the youngster made the leap to the U20 juniors. Among other things, he stood between the posts of the German team twice at last year's U20 World Cup and is still part of the team today.

With Mathias Niederberger, Daniel Allavena and Christopher Kolarz, there are currently four goalkeepers in the EHC Red Bull München squad for the 2024/25 season.
