The 15th matchday of the German Ice Hockey League (PENNY DEL) will be completely dedicated to the cooperation with the Deutsche Krebshilfe. To mark the organization's 50th anniversary, numerous activities will take place at all seven venues on Sunday, November 3, to draw attention to the important work of the Deutsche Krebshilfe in the fight against cancer. The action match day is part of the Social Week organized by the Deutsche Krebshilfe, in which several professional leagues and sports are participating from 25 October to 10 November. On Sunday the Red Bulls will be guests at the Löwen Frankfurt at 4:30 p.m.
Special warm-up jerseys for the game against Löwen Frankfurt
The Deutsche Krebshilfe will be everywhere in the PENNY DEL on Sunday. The players of all 14 clubs will warm up in jerseys specially designed for the occasion, which will be in the light blue of the Deutsche Krebshilfe and have the number 50 on the back to mark the anniversary. All referees will also wear special jerseys during the match, on which the league partners Telekom and PENNY have waived their advertising space in favor of the Deutsche Krebshilfe logo and the shirt number 50. The referees' jerseys - signed by the respective referee - will be auctioned off at a later date by Deutsche Krebshilfe as unique items for a good cause.

Players from all clubs take part with a video message
„When the Deutsche Krebhilfe approached us last spring with the request that we take part in Social Week, we didn't hesitate for a moment", says Gernot Tripcke, Managing Director of PENNY DEL. "Our league and its clubs have been involved in the fight against cancer for many years and in a variety of ways. For example, Movember is a regular part of the season at many locations, as are Pink in the Rink and numerous charity campaigns for local aid organizations."
The players also demonstrated this commitment. A video message was produced especially for the campaign match day, in which professionals from all 14 clubs highlight the importance of cancer prevention and supporting people with the disease under the motto „Be the plus in the fight against cancer!" This video clip will be shown in the arenas, as well as on MagentaSport and DF1 TV broadcasts and on the social media channels of the league, its clubs and partners.
