Derby in Augsburg: Red Bulls want to get back on the road to successHager: "Want to reward the traveling fans"// DEL - PRELIMINARY REPORTEHC Red Bull München is looking ahead to the derby at the Augsburg Panthers in the Curt-Frenzel Stadium. Our boys want to get back on the road to success there on Thursday (19:30 | LIVE on MagentaSport and in our blog).
Last weekend, the Red Bulls were narrowly defeated in Nuremberg (1-2) and at home against the Eisbären Berlin (4-6). "As always, we sat down together on Monday morning and analyzed the games. Now we're trying to get better step by step," says our captain Patrick Hager. The Red Bulls have their next opportunity in Augsburg.

// DEL - HIGHLIGHTS
Hager: "With an incredible amount of passion to Augsburg"
The Red Bulls don't like to think back to the last derby in the Fuggerstadt (2:7) just under two months ago. "We have something to make up for. We have to go to Augsburg with an incredible amount of passion so that something like this doesn't happen to us again," said Hager.
He added: "We want to reward the fans, who will certainly be there in large numbers again in Augsburg." With a win, Munich could move closer to third place again.
AEV crowd favorite Trevelyan a ray of hope
Our opponents are at the bottom of the table. On Sunday, the Augsburg Panthers lost the basement duel at bottom-placed Iserlohn Roosters by 2:5. After their third defeat in a row, they are now only four points clear of the red lantern. The recently improved defense suffered a setback in Iserlohn.
T.J. Trevelyan did not score in his 500th DEL game. Nevertheless, the AEV fan favorite garnished his milestone with his eleventh goal of the season. In the Panthers' all-time scoring list, the 39-year-old German-Canadian moved to within three goals of leader Ernst Köpf senior with 142 goals. It is quite possible that Trevelyan will reach this mark.
Fast-track to "AEV Player of the Year"
Incidentally, Trevelyan scored three times in Augsburg's success in the last duel - as did Anrei Hakulinen. The 33-year-old has only been in Augsburg for a few months, but has made an impression as a goal scorer. His work record: 36 appearances, 31 scoring points, 17 goals.
Only Berlin's Zach Boychuk has scored more often in this PENNY DEL season (18 times). Astonishing: Hakulinen only needed 60 shots on goal (shooting percentage of 28.3 percent). The Finn is ice-cold. The fans honored that. They voted the forward "AEV Player of the Year" in an online poll conducted by a local newspaper.

Long break for Bittner
Most recently, however, Hakulinen failed to score three times in a row. The Red Bulls' defense wants to make sure that this streak is extended and that we get back on the winning track. Dominik Bittner will not be able to help.
The defender suffered an upper body injury in the top match against Berlin. He needs an operation and will be out for a long time. Get well soon, Bits!
