Record champions with three titles in the last four seasons
The DEL record champions from Berlin have been busy writing their success story in recent years. The capital city club has won the championship three times in the last four years - including the title last season. Coach Serge Aubin is relying on a well-coordinated team this season, which was strengthened once again in the summer.
A Brit conquers the DEL
Liam Kirk is one of the most striking newcomers in the entire German Ice Hockey League. The goal scorer is the first English-born and trained ice hockey player to be drafted by an NHL team. He is finding his feet more and more in Germany. He has scored twelve goals in his last nine appearances. Among the best DEL goal scorers of the season, he is just behind his teammate Ty Ronning (22) with 21 goals.
