A fast-paced duel in the first period with playful guests. The best chances revealed themselves David Elsner, who failed twice to Danny aus den Birken (4./16.). The Red Bulls had likewise their possibilities, but also lions keeper Bastian Kucis held its box before the third break cleanly.
The center section started with pressure-full Red Bulls. Coach Don Jackson's team settled in the offensive zone and cheered in the 22nd minute after Eder's cracker (22nd).
