// DEL - HIGHLIGHTS
Gameplay
Schwenningen powerful, Munich playful and both teams in the forward gear - the match from the first second intense and spectacular. First shone with Joacim Eriksson and Mathias Niederberger the goalies. In the tenth minute, however, Niederberger was powerless: Brandon DeFazio kept his stick clean on the power play. Schwenningen took the lead, but Munich struck back immediately. Also on the power play, the puck hit the post and Smith pushed the rebound over the line (11.). Only 88 seconds later Street provided the 2:1 for the Red Bulls, and so it went into the first break.
Breathless and offensive also the start into the second period. Chances on both sides, the goal for the guests: Ryan McKiernan put on strong, Eder completed directly, flat and sharp to 3:1 (24.). Schwenningen was unimpressed, the game remained an open exchange of blows. Niederberger with highlight saves every minute. Then it got hot on the ice and crowded in the cooler (34th). The following power play could not use the Munich, for it Johannes Huss made shortly thereafter the connection for the Wild Wings (37.).
Packend also the final section. Aggressive Wild Wings missed the equalizer several times just barely. Again and again Niederberger. Penalty times on both sides. With all the effort, with all the chances, with all the drama - hits fell no more. It remained 3:2 for the Red Bulls. With concentrated and spirited defensive work in the final third, the league leader defended the three points in Schwenningen.
