Gameplay
Both teams played with pace and a lot of physical play, scoring chances were initially scarce. That changed with the first power play of the game for Zug: Brian O'Neill came free to finish and put 0:1 (7.). A few seconds later Dario Simion made the double strike of the guests perfect (8.). The Red Bulls were looking for a quick answer and had a great chance, but Ben Street could not put the puck in Leonardo Genoni's goal. More efficient was the EVZ: Peter Cehlarik scored before the first period break the 0:3 (14.).
Also the second section belonged to the guests. So put Sven Senteler in the 23rd minute the fourth goal.
