Konrad Abeltshauser and Ben Street sweated together on vacation in Greece, Maximilian Daubner and Daniel Allavena back home. They were among 206,728 people from 192 nations who ran for a total of 5.8 million euros in 158 countries. 100 percent of the proceeds will go to spinal cord research to cure paraplegia.
New records, fantastic backdrop
Munich's Olympiapark was the starting point for one of the six Flagship Runs. Participants were also able to track their run via an app. This is what our pros did, who started for the Red Bulls & Friends running group. There were 246 of these app run events this year - more than ever before.
"Crete Running Crew" sweats
Abeltshauser is an expert when it comes to the Wings for Life World Run. Our defender took part for the first time in 2018 and has started at every edition since then. His wife Erica, as well as teammate Street and his wife Jess, also laced up their running shoes in beautiful weather on Crete. Abeltshauser named the group the "Crete Running Crew" without further ado.
Pretty best friends and ice barrel vibes
Daubner and Allavena started in more pleasant temperatures back home. The latter first treated himself to a swim in the ice-cold mountain stream after the run.
