Following in the footsteps of the NHL: Our Open Locker Room is back!25 media representatives in the Red Bulls players' dressing room // DEL - CURRENTTwo days before the start of the playoffs, the Red Bulls opened the doors to the team dressing room. Media representatives from print, radio and TV had the opportunity to interview the players and coaches of the main round winner at the Open Locker Room.

Cameras, microphones, occasionally also dictaphones - and 25 inquisitive journalists, including three TV teams. After ice practice on Monday morning, the Red Bulls' hallowed halls were packed. Media representatives in the dressing room? No longer an unusual sight in the top American leagues. For journalists, players and coaches in the German Ice Hockey League, the Open Locker Room is a major highlight.

Redmond's daily bread in the NHL

"It's really cool and a nice change of pace. For me personally, having journalists in the booth is nothing new. In my time with the Montreal Canadiens, it was actually like this every day," says Zach Redmond, referring to his NHL past.

Before the interviews, the press representatives already followed the team training of the three-time German champion. Incidentally, the Open Locker Room celebrated its comeback after a Corona break of more than three years. Traditionally, the event takes place immediately before the DEL opener and just before the playoffs.
