DEG comes to the SAP Garden: Red Bulls want to get back on the road to success Student Hockey Night on Friday - Tickets still available// DEL - PREVIEWFourth weekend in this PENNY DEL season, fourth home game in a row for EHC Red Bull Munich. On Friday at 7:30 pm, our team welcomes Düsseldorf EG to the SAP Garden. The Red Bulls want to get back on the road to success.
Tickets are still available for our clash against the serial champions of the 1990s (live on MagentaSport, Sportdeutschland.TV and on our blog). Attention students, trainees and pupils over the age of 18: The Student Hockey Night is back! That means you only pay 20 euros for a seat ticket - and can celebrate afterwards with free entry to "Call me Drella" and the "089 Bar".
The Red Bulls played some spectacular ice hockey last weekend, but failed to pick up any points in their home games against Berlin (2:3) and Cologne (4:6). "We made it too easy for our opponents to score goals," Kastner looks back. To change that, our striker with shirt number 93 is calling for full commitment: "We have to work harder again." Fifth win in the seventh game of the season.
Improvable start to the season - despite Haukeland
Our guests are some way off this result. In seven games, novice coach Steven Reinprecht's team has only scored against Schwenningen (3:2 n. p.). Their goal tally is also in need of improvement: Twelve own goals are the weakest value among all PENNY DEL teams, 29 goals conceded are only surpassed by two clubs - Düsseldorf still has room for improvement in defense and offense.

Goalkeeper Henrik Haukeland (catch rate: 90.2 percent) is not to blame for the Rheinländer's search for form. The Norwegian is still one of the best goalkeepers in the league. He has also saved his team from conceding one or two more goals this season.
Two new line mates for top player O'Donnell
After the departures of top scorer Kenny Agostino (to Ingolstadt) and Phil Varone (Wolfsburg), Brendan O'Donnell is perhaps the most important man in the offense. The Canadian has already scored five goals. This puts him at the top of the internal list with fellow rookie Justin Richards (from Rochester, AHL) and ahead of Tyler Angle (Cleveland, AHL).
The two newcomers with NHL experience have quickly adapted to the larger ice surface in the DEL. The Düsseldorf team is hoping for special moments, especially from the 24-year-old Angle. Sports director Niki Mondt describes the winger as "young, fast and ambitious". Angle has made a successful debut.

Kastner: "Want to support the defenders better"
Kastner knows the opponent from numerous duels. "But we're not looking too much at DEG. We have our own areas that we need to work on," said the forward. Coach Toni Söderholm focused on the backcheck in training, among other things. "We have to improve our backcheck and support the defenders better," says Kastner.
"And we want to give our opponents less time and space to get the puck quicker. Then the offense will come all by itself." If this succeeds, the chances of our fifth win of the season - and the next offensive spectacle in the SAP Garden - will increase.
