“WOW!": Red Bulls move into their new ‘sanctuary’ in the SAP Garden
Monday, 09. September 2024 | Red Bull München: Red Bulls move into the new cabin
“WOW!": Red Bulls move into their new ‘sanctuary’ in the SAP GardenTeam cabin in the new arena causes amazement// SAP Garden The ice on the main pitch was prepared last week and now the Red Bulls' dressing room in the SAP Garden is ready for occupancy. On Monday, our team took possession of their ultra-modern quarters - and were delighted.
Almost three weeks before the Grand Opening of SAP Gardens against the Buffalo Sabres, the players of EHC Red Bull München have moved within their new home.
From the facilities around training hall 1, where the Red Bulls had been housed since the beginning of August, they moved into the now completed dressing room of the main playing area. And the new premises of the four-time German ice hockey champions offer perfect conditions for the professionals in a very special place for them.
"The dressing room is simply the heart, the sanctuary of a team," said Dominik Bittner, underlining its importance. "It's where we spend most of our time during the season, going through good times and not so good times."

This is what the Red Bulls' cabin looks like
Moving at NHL level
The Red Bulls' new sanctuary is arranged in a semicircle, just like in the NHL, and covers 95 square meters. This means that the dressing room offers enough space for 22 field players and three goalkeepers. On the one hand, the shape corresponds to our club's logo. In addition, all players now face the coach perfectly during speeches. In terms of color, the gem shines in red or blue, but can also be designed in other colors thanks to the LED lights.
Further highlights: Our club logo also shines from the ceiling and the respective digital autograph card is displayed above each player's seat. The seats have a high-quality leather look and offer maximum comfort. There are also two televisions and two whiteboards for match analysis and tactics discussions. The cabin is also equipped with state-of-the-art technology for coaches and support staff.
How the SAP Garden lettering came to be on the facade
"Wow" effect at Bittner
"When I walked in there today, I had a wow effect. I'd only ever seen a dressing room like this from room tours in the NHL," said an impressed Bittner. "It was just great to see it for the first time." One special feature immediately caught the eye of our defender. "The semi-circle means that every player can now look at each other and talk to each other. That wasn't the case before," he explains.
Incidentally, the fitness room and the wellness area for regeneration are right next to the wing. So the distances for our boys are correspondingly short.
Second pre-sale phase for DEL home games underway
The Red Bulls will change in their new dressing room for the first time under competitive conditions at the sold-out Grand Opening against the Buffalo Sabres. Tickets for the DEL debut against the Grizzlys Wolfsburg are also already sold out.
Tickets for the home games between October 4 and November 1 are still available here.
