Gameplay
Both teams got off to a hot start, and then the Red Bulls were ice-cold: Schütz converted the first chance after just three minutes to make it 1:0 for the Munich team. They then really stepped on the gas and were jubilant in the eleventh minute when Ehliz made it 2:0. With this lead for clearly superior Red Bulls, the teams went into the first intermission.
