Kaltenhauser supports coach Toni Söderholm together with the two co-coaches Pierre Allard and Patrick Dallaire. The DEL2 coach of the year 2024 took over Eisbären Regensburg in the third-tier Oberliga four and a half years ago after retiring from his active playing career. He led the team into Germany's second-highest division and transformed them from relegation candidates to title contenders in just two years. In April of this year, the sports science graduate won the DEL2 championship with his team in the final against the Kassel Huskies.
