Red Bull München signs goalkeeper Evan FitzpatrickNew number 31 already on the bench against Frankfurt// PERSONNELEHC Red Bull München has signed Canadian goaltender Evan Fitzpatrick. The 27-year-old joins the four-time German champions from Slovakian club HK 32 Liptovsky Mikulas.

The Red Bulls are thus reacting to the absence of Christopher Kolarz, who will miss at least two weeks due to a lower-body injury. For Munich's game against Löwen Frankfurt on Sunday (February 16 | 2:00 p.m.), Fitzpatrick will already be on the bench with the number 31.

NHL second-round pick for the Red Bulls

Fitzpatrick was selected 59th in the second round of the 2016 NHL Draft by the St. Louis Blues. The then 18-year-old initially played two years in the Canadian junior league QMJHL. The goaltender made his professional debut in the 2018-19 season for the San Antonio Rampage, the St. Louis Blues' AHL affiliate at the time. Most recently, the Canadian played for HK 32 Liptovsky Mikulas in Slovakia's top league.
