“The feeling of being right in the middle of it all” - New dates for the blind reportageTickets on request to the Red Bulls service team// CURRENTAt the last home game, the Red Bulls celebrated a premiere in the SAP Garden. Against the Kölner Haie, a blind reportage was offered in the arena for the first time. The result: happy participants and the first registrations for the new dates.
Being able to experience ice hockey with all your senses is a privilege. A privilege that people with a visual impairment have to do without. Being able to follow a sport with excitement is difficult - but not impossible. EHC Red Bull München wants to create this opportunity more often in the future.
First participants are happy about “successful start”
“The reporters Björn and David were great, precise in their descriptions and gave me the feeling of always being right in the middle of the action,” says Jörg Conrad, describing his experience and summarizing: ”A successful start to the Blind Radio at SAP Garden.”
The Haie fan traveled all the way from Cologne and would make the trip again at any time: “I hope that the Blind Radio program in Munich will be well received. Because without the commitment and passion of the reporters and the club, we as visually impaired fans would miss a lot of the great live experience of ice hockey. I would love to come to another game in Munich.”

Reporters create a comprehensive ice hockey experience
In contrast to a classic radio presentation, the blind reportage places a special focus on the movement and game sequences. Our trained colleagues from BENA Consulting describe the position of the puck and all the action on the ice in detail to give everyone the closest and most fascinating ice hockey experience possible. What the eye catches on the ice is mirrored by the reporters' voices.
"With a game as fast as ice hockey, it's quite an art to commentate in this way. I think the radio for the blind is great and I'm already looking forward to the next game," says our fan Dagmar Biehler, who also took advantage of the audio description against the Kölner Haie.
