High-caliber youngsters at forward
The chances are good that the franchise will make it into the playoffs. The young team is peppered with numerous top talents and other players of the highest quality. Tage Thompson stands out - and not just because of his height of 1.97 meters. The goalscorer has scored 114 goals in the past three years.
Together with former Munich player JJ Peterka, for whom the return to his home country is something very special, and Alex Tuch (most recently top scorer with 59 points), Thompson forms the first forward line. Jason Zucker (arrived from Nashville in the summer) brings experience and further quality to the line-up. Behind him, 23-year-old Dylan Cozens, Jack Quinn (also 23) and Zach Benson (19) are currently among the best youngsters on the planet.
Number one draft pick in defense
The two defenders Bowen Byram (23) and Owen Power also join this ranks. The 21-year-old is the number one draft pick from 2021 and is in the process of developing into one of the league's top defensemen. At 26, Rasmus Dahlin is already one of them, the strong Swede pulling the strings on the blue line.
