Kastner wants to show newcomers the Wiesn
"Today is about getting away from everyday life and sports for a bit. The guys also need time together away from the ice," explained Söderholm at the opening of the team visit. Under the Bavarian sky, there was feasting, laughing and swaying together in good spirits.
For some players, a visit to the Wiesn is a tradition, for others a completely new experience. "For some guys it's the first time. We want to show them the whole thing and experience the atmosphere together," announced Maxi Kastner, who, as Munich's longest-serving player, has made it his mission to show the newcomers the most important things at Oktoberfest: "The Maß, Wiesn songs and maybe dancing on the benches for a change."
Almquist: "Incredible here!"
This should be something entirely new, especially for one of the Red Bulls' newcomers. Our Swedish defender Adam Almquist is visiting Oktoberfest for the first time this year and was immediately impressed.
"It's incredible here, it's a very special experience. It's always good when the team does something together. We'll definitely have a Hacker-Pschorr or two," Almquist said, explaining, "I mean, it's Oktoberfest after all!"
