Course of the game
Both teams played from the start under the motto "the puck must go to the goal". But Adler and Red Bulls acted concentrated on the defensive. That's why the fans saw a first period with fast, intense field hockey, but had to wait until the 20th minute for the first goal. Street used the first overtime to score the 1:0 intermission lead for Red Bull Munich.
The Eagles started the middle period in overtime and equalized through David Wolf after 46 seconds of play. Four and a half minutes later, Mannheim had turned the match around: Matthias Plachta rifled the disc into the Munich box for the 2-1 lead (26th). The game went back and forth, with both teams creating good chances. One of them used ex-Eagle Krämmer ruthlessly to 2:2 (35.). With this score it went into the second break.
