Many players and a strong offense on the Main: Red Bulls visit Frankfurt// DEL - PRELIMINARY REPORTWith two home wins in a row under its belt, EHC Red Bull Munich travels to the Main on Sunday. At 3:15 pm (LIVE on ServusTV, MagentaSport & on our blog) we face Löwen Frankfurt.
The Red Bulls have currently won four games in a row against Frankfurt. Only the first meeting after the Hessians returned to the DEL in September 2022 was lost 4:3 on penalties. Our boys won their first home game of the season by a clear margin. The Wiesn matchday on October 1 resulted in a commanding 5:2 victory. Trevor Parkes, Nico Krämmer and Yasin Ehliz put Munich on the road to victory in the final third. After the defeat at the Olympia-Eisstadion, however, Frankfurt made it four wins in a row, the longest winning streak so far this season. And the Lions were also in strong form in November with four wins from six games.

Missing piece of the puzzle found
A new Lion was also partly responsible for the good performances of late. Background: Frankfurt were looking for a suitable strike partner for Dominik Bokk and Carter Rowney in the first line. Coach Matti Tiilikainen and sports director Franz-David Fritzmeier did not really find what they were looking for among the existing personnel, but they did in North America.
Three weeks ago, winger Julian Napravnik moved from the Hershey Bears to the Main. After four years in the junior ranks of the Adler Mannheim, the Bad Nauheim native's path led him to North America in 2016. Napravnik made the leap from college to the AHL, but the door to the NHL remained closed. Now he's back home. In his first appearances alongside Bokk and Rowney, the 26-year-old has already shown flashes of his skating and playing ability.

New additions lead the way
In addition to the parade line, the team has been led by other top performers throughout the season. Interestingly, all the players only arrived in the Main metropolis in the summer. The two forwards Cameron Brace and Cody Kunyk are among the best scorers in the league. Together, the duo has already scored more than 50 points.
Defender Maksim Matushkin has already scored in double figures and has over 20 points. The left-shooter is not only dangerous on the power play. Defending alongside him is Ville Lajunen, who also has playmaking qualities. Both defensemen average around 25 minutes of ice time per game.
Goalie Joe Cannata is also increasingly proving to be a strong back-up. The number one in Frankfurt's box picked up his first shutout in the PENNY DEL on November 19 in the 4:0 win in Bremerhaven. On Friday in Berlin (3-1 defeat), the American had to sit out a game due to suspension, but he should be back between the posts against the Red Bulls.
