Oswald praises teammates
Our team scored four goals in the second period alone, pulling the game in the right direction from our point of view after previously trailing by three. Youngster Veit Oswald, who has just been nominated for the DEB team for the first time by national coach Harold Kreis together with Filip Varejcka and Klausi Heigl, once again played great and set up two goals in an exemplary manner.
"Of course you're always happy to score. But all that mattered to me was that we won today. Big praise to the team," said Oswald afterwards, remaining modest as usual. Our boys now want to take the same offensive power into the tough away game against the Grizzlys Wolfsburg.
New Grizzly Peter Mueller a direct hit
The Lower Saxons have made some personnel additions on the transfer market. The NHL-experienced forward Peter Mueller (297 appearances and 160 scoring points for Arizona, Colorado and Florida) moved from HC Ambri-Piotta in Switzerland to Wolfsburg at the beginning of January. The US-American started the season with Vitkovice Ridera, one of our group opponents in this year's CHL season.
The 35-year-old fit in well straight away and has formed a dangerous attacking trio with Andy Miele and Spencer Machacek since his arrival. Mueller has recorded a whopping ten scoring points (4 goals, 6 assists) in his nine games so far.
