Sustainability
The Red Bulls are not only focused on achieving sporting goals. Another important principle for the actions of EHC Red Bull München is sustainability. We want to and will take responsibility as an organization and gradually act more sustainably and reduce emissions. We have also set ourselves the task of raising our fans' awareness of sustainable action. In doing so, we will consider the three dimensions of sustainability - economically efficient, socially just and ecologically viable - on an equal footing.
The Red Bulls' sustainability strategy is based on the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations (click here). Among other things, the four-time German champions have set themselves the goal of becoming climate-neutral by 2040. EHC Red Bull München will implement its ambitious sustainability plans through concrete, verifiable measures.
For example, all player and fan jerseys are already produced exclusively in EU countries from 100% recycled yarn. The number of away trips made by the Red Bull Munich team by bus or Deutsche Bahn will also be increased compared to previous years. In addition, the organization's SUBARU car fleet has been supplemented with electric and hybrid vehicles. The Red Bulls' move to the largely energy self-sufficient SAP Garden in calendar year 2024 is another key element in the club's sustainability strategy.
With its Business Director Oliver Wesp, the Red Bulls are also represented in the "Sustainability Commission" of the German Ice Hockey League (PENNY DEL). DEL4 was developed together with the league and all clubs. The "fourth" period is synonymous with our responsibility beyond the game.
