The youngster trio of Simon Wolf, Jakob Weber and Veit Oswald will have the chance to prove themselves in a double test match against Slovakia.

On February 5 and 6, the German national ice hockey team will test twice against hosts Slovakia at the Tipsport Arena in Banská Bystrica. When national coach Harold Kreis nominated 23 players for the German Ice Hockey Federation's (DEB) "men's prospect team", 13 of them will be able to celebrate their senior international debut.

National coach Harold Kreis: "We are looking forward to the days together with the team. For some of the players, it will be a new experience to compete and prove themselves at this international level. That's why we want to familiarize our players with our basic playing system and see and evaluate how it is implemented in the international matches. The international matches against Slovakia are always characterized by great commitment and speed on both sides. Of course, we're also looking forward to the great atmosphere on site. In this respect, we will take away many valuable insights."

Wolf and Weber ahead of DEB debut

Our goalie Wolf (20 year-old), who has already been in goal for the Red Bulls seven times this season, and defender Weber (21 year-old) are also hoping to get their first minutes for the senior national team. The 20-year-old attacker Oswald already made two appearances for Germany last season.
