Red Bull München signs Andrew MacWilliam// PERSONALGerman champions Red Bull München have signed Andrew MacWilliam. The 33-year-old defender moves from EC Red Bull Salzburg to the Bavarian capital.
MacWilliam already played for Munich in the 2020/21 and 2021/22 seasons. The Canadian native made 75 appearances in the PENNY DEL during that time, scoring two goals and contributing 16 assists. He made four appearances in the Champions League.

Toni Söderholm, coach Red Bull München: "We are happy that Andrew has decided to stay in the Red Bulls organization. After winning the ICE Hockey League title with Salzburg, he now wants to become the first player to win the title with both clubs. Andrew's character play makes him a win to any team."
In the past season, the defender played 66 competitive games (one goal, ten assists) with EC Red Bull Salzburg and won the win2day ICE Hockey League championship title with the team.

Prior to his first stint with EHC Red Bull München, MacWilliam defended for the Rochester Americans in the American Hockey League (AHL). There, he played alongside Zach Redmond between 2017 and 2020. MacWilliam brings experience from 431 AHL and twelve NHL appearances (Toronto Maple Leafs) to coach Toni Söderholm's team.
