Toni Söderholm: "Our start was very good. There were a lot of actions that we emphasized. Our short-handed play was one of the keys today, because it brought the emotions into the game. We had a difficult phase in the second period, but we responded very well to Wolfsburg's two goals. If you lose the momentum briefly, you don't know whether you'll get it back again. We managed to do that today."
Patrick Hager: "It was a great start. We played very focused and confidently for 60 minutes. But especially in the first ten minutes of the second period, we saw how dangerous Wolfsburg can be when we get away from our game a bit. We probably won't see as many goals as today in the next few games, because the longer a series goes on, the tighter the games become. We have to be ready again on Tuesday."
Konrad Abeltshauser: "We prepared ourselves for a tough game. We were right there from the start, but then briefly fell back into our old rut. However, we found the answer straight away and got the game back on our side. After that, we played smart. It was a classic playoff game. Both teams were tough in tackles, which is why there were a lot of penalties. Our special teams were good. We can build on that."
Mike Stewart (Coach, Grizzlys Wolfsburg): "We were a bit nervous at the start. We fought back in the second period and got the momentum on our side, but quickly let it slip away again due to small mistakes. That hurt. When you concede six goals, it's damn hard to win. We can learn a lot from this game and we'll present ourselves better in Munich."
