Step by step to the perfect ice
It took a lot of work over the past few months to get everything ready for September 27. A brief outline: We started preparing the ice in our new home back in October last year. The starting signal was given with the installation of the first ice rink bore under the three training areas, which were fully concreted in January.
The next milestone followed in April with the drilling of the main playing surface. The first running meters of precision steel pipes for the cooling system were laid underneath, which were then welded together. Three months later, in May, the concreting of the ice was also completed here. The 1,739.39 square meter concrete surface was then cooled down to the appropriate temperature for several days, after which the ice production could begin.
