Former NHL player Taro Hirose joins the Red Bulls// PERSONALEHC Red Bull München has responded to the injury to Trevor Parkes by signing Canadian Taro Hirose. The forward with 60 NHL games of experience will play for the Red Bulls in the future.
Over the past five years, Hirose has mainly played for the Grand Rapids Griffins in the American Hockey League (AHL). There, the 28-year-old scored an impressive 203 points (50 goals | 153 assists) in 256 games. The forward has also played a total of 60 times in the NHL since 2019. During this time, Hirose collected 20 scoring points for the Detroit Red Wings in the world's best ice hockey league (4 goals | 16 assists).

Taro Hirose: "I'm really looking forward to playing for the Red Bulls in the future and living in Munich. I've only heard good things about the city, the people and the club. Now it's all about getting to know the guys in the team. I've already had a bit of contact with Adam Brooks, he's a friend of a friend. The main goal is clear: I want to help the team win, no matter what.

Hirose takes to the ice with the number 17
Hirose will travel to the Bavarian capital this weekend. After the obligatory medical tests, he will train with the team of the four-time German champions from the beginning of next week. The Winnipeg-born offensive player will take to the ice for Munich with the number 17 on his back.
