Co-coach Steve Walker leaves the Red Bulls// STAFFAfter four years alongside coach Don Jackson, assistant coach Steve Walker is leaving EHC Red Bull München.
The 50-year-old moved to the Red Bulls organization in May 2019. As co-coach, the Canadian won the German championship with the Munich DEL team a few days ago. Walker had approached the management with the wish for a career change. This was granted.

"Steve and the entire coaching team played a decisive role in paving the way for our fourth championship," explains Christian Winkler, Managing Director Sports Red Bull Ice Hockey. Champion Moments, Part I
Walker played for the Eisbären Berlin from 2000 to 2011, where he won five German championships, three of them under then-Berlin coach Jackson. After his playing career, he started his coaching career in a Canadian junior league, and in 2015 his path led him back to Germany.
There he worked for two years as an assistant coach with Adler Mannheim. In the 2017/18 season, he was head coach at EC KAC in Austria.
