Oswald and Weber in the provisional squad for the U20 World ChampionshipsThree academy players in the squad// NATIONAL TEAMTwo youngsters from EHC Red Bull Munich, Oswald and Weber, are also taking part in the preparations for the upcoming U20 World Championship in Sweden. In addition, three players from the Red Bull Ice Hockey Academy have been called up to the squad.When the IIHF U20 World Championship kicks off in Gothenburg on December 26, two of our boys can justifiably hope to take part in the tournament. Weber and Oswald have been called up for the German junior team and are part of U20 national coach Tobias Abstreiter's provisional squad.
Oswald: "Big event for me"
"It's a very big event for me to be able to play for Germany," reveals Oswald, adding: "We'll do everything we can to finish the tournament in the best possible way. Not everyone can claim to have played in an U20 World Cup. I'll take the experience with me and hopefully develop further as a result."
With goalie Simon Wolf and forwards Daniel Assavolyuk and Vadim Schreiner, three players from the Red Bull Ice Hockey Academy are also taking part.

Preparations for the World Championship will take place in Füssen from December 11 to 18. Of the 28-strong provisional squad, 25 youngsters will make the trip to Scandinavia before Abstreiter selects the final World Championship squad of 23 players in Sweden.
At the U20 World Championship, which will be held between December 26 and January 5, the DEB national youth team will face Finland, Sweden, Latvia and the reigning U20 World Champions Canada in Group B.
