Munich will start the best-of-seven series with a home game on March 15 (7:30 p.m.). Game 3 is also already scheduled, it will take place on March 19 at 3:15 p.m. at Oberwiesenfeld. Great dominance and a strong reaction
Let's be honest: Who of you would have thought that EHC Red Bull München would pick up 122 points and play the best main round in its DEL history after the 3:6 in Cologne on the first matchday? The fact is: After the opening defeat, our guys really turned up the heat and were the best DEL team in October, November and December.
Captain Patrick Hager and Co. responded to the short "time-out" in January (1.5 points per game) with a statement February, which became our best month with an average of 2.6 points per game. At the end of the main round, we had a 19-point lead over second-place ERC Ingolstadt.

// DEL - HIGHLIGHTS
Spectacular, successful, Red Bulls
The Red Bulls didn't cheat their way to victories, dominating many games and delivering bests in shots on goal and shots on goal allowed. As a result of the dominance, we scored the most goals of any team (205) and conceded the fewest (132). The 205 goals also represent a new club record since promotion to Germany's top ice hockey division in 2010.
At the end of the main round, we celebrated eight wins in a row, but this was not the longest streak this season. From November 4 to December 14, there were even eleven successes without interruption.
Individual class, Ehliz missing seconds
The player with the most points was Yasin Ehliz. The 30-year-old forward scored 60 points (21 goals, 39 assists) in 56 appearances, but was beaten by Andreas Thuresson in a true photo finish in the battle for the top scorer title. The Cologne Sharks forward tied Ehliz on points with a goal with 21 seconds remaining on the final day of play. Thuresson and Ehliz each have 60 points to their credit. However, the Swede has scored one more goal (22 goals, 38 assists) than our forward in his tally.
Ehliz's line-mate Austin Ortega was our top scorer in the past main round. The US American scored 27 goals - only Schwenningen's Tyson Spink (31 goals) scored more often league-wide. Jonathon Blum (41 scorer points) and Zach Redmond (37) made it into the top 5 of the defensemen with the most points. And goalie Mathias Niederberger boasted the best goals against average (2.17) of any regular keeper with more than ten appearances. The Red Bulls were truly top on the road between September and March, the playoffs can come. Be part of it!
