Markus Eisenschmid also sees it that way. "There is a lot of quality on the ice and the team is a well-rehearsed bunch. You can see why they won a championship here last year," says the attacker, who, like Dominik Bittner and Nico Krämmer, moved to Munich this summer.
The German trio has no startup difficulties. "It is a strength of character of the three that they settle in quickly. Many of the guys already know each other from the national team or former clubs. My impression is that the three have already arrived very well," praises Söderholm.

Quartet of players missing from team training
Our new defensemen Adam Almquist (cold), Andrew MacWilliam (lower body injury) as well as Ben Street (lower body injury) will miss a few more days. Our DEL player of the season Yasin Ehliz (upper body injury) is expected to return in two weeks.
During the first training session, the focus was still predominantly on the defense. Gradually, the focus will be placed on forechecking and creative offensive play in the coming weeks. Until the first challenges at the test match against EV Zug (August 19) and the Red Bulls Salute (August 26/27), for which you can already get tickets, the game should then be set for the start of the mission to defend the title.
