Visiting Seilersee: Red Bulls want to continue run in Iserlohn
Monday, 30. October 2023 | DEL Preview: EHC Red Bull München as guests of the Iserlohn Roosters
Visiting Seilersee: Red Bulls want to continue run in Iserlohn4:0 victory in first duel - New coach at the Roosters// DEL - PREVIEWWith three wins in a row in the luggage the EHC Red Bull München travels to the Sauerland on Tuesday. At 7:30 p.m. (LIVE on our blog), the Iserlohn Roosters await our boys. The first comparison this season went to us with 4:0.
With nine points from the last three games, the Red Bulls recently achieved the maximum score. Offensively, the German champions scored exactly five times in each game (5:1 against Augsburg and Cologne, 5:3 against Nuremberg). With an away win at Seilersee, this series should of course continue. The team of coach Toni Söderholm has after the three in the 400th DEL home game on Sunday against the Ice Tigers proper tailwind. The crux of the matter was the quick equalizer just before the second period break by Maximilian Kastner after the Central Franconians had turned the game around. "That was something like the gamechanger and an action of absolute will," described Dominik Bittner. Munich took the momentum into the final period and "Bits" led the Red Bulls to victory lane with his first goal in our colors afterwards.

New coach, tendency still unclear
Our opponents have had Pierre Beaulieu, the former assistant coach, as head coach for a good week now. The Canadian succeeded Greg Poss, from whom the club parted company due to a mixed start to the season.
The new coach initially brought momentum, as Iserlohn won the following two home games. The Roosters kept the upper hand against Straubing (4:3 after shootout) as well as against Mannheim (7:4). On Sunday, however, the last but one in the table (twelve points) lost 0:7 in Wolfsburg.
The Sauerlanders have already conceded 71 goals, more than any other team in the league. The attack is also not really running smoothly yet: 34 own goals are only undercut by Düsseldorf (31). Tyler Boland is the top scorer with eleven points so far.

Munich's run of success
With hard work and tactical discipline, the Red Bulls are looking to record their seventh win in a row against Iserlohn and continue their current run. "We're coming out from behind in a more orderly fashion now. Or we just play the disc deep at times. That's how we get into our forechek better," Bittner said, explaining the recipe for success in recent games. In the next three games, however, the Red Bulls will have to do without Jonathon Blum, who is suspended for a cross-check.
How it can go against the Roosters this season, we have already shown in the first duel. Munich won confidently with 4:0 at the beginning of October, Mathias Niederberger recorded his first shutout. The last defeat at the Seilersee dates back to September 2021, and we want it to stay that way.
