Behind the Scenes: A look behind the scenes of our drone showGrand Opening from 27 September to 3 October// SAP GARDENOn 18 February, the opening date of SAP Gardens was projected onto the Munich evening sky. In a behind-the-scenes video, we provide you with exciting insights into the planning and realisation of our spectacular drone show for the first time.The SAP Garden is still under construction. On September 27, however, the time has already come for EHC Red Bull München to officially move from the Olympic Ice Stadium to its new home at Oberwiesenfeld.
The Red Bulls will open the stadium on Friday as part of an action-packed Grand Opening weekend with a match against a team from the NHL. A special open day will follow on Saturday (September 28), before FC Bayern München's basketball team will play in the SAP Garden for the first time on October 3.
200 drones form the opening date
All of this was revealed to the public for the first time on February 18 in the form of a spectacular drone show. The new behind-the-scenes video provides insights into the elaborate planning and implementation of the date reveal that have never been shown before.
200 drones drew the various motifs over the SAP Garden. An additional Spider drone with a large camera provided wide-angle shots from a distance, while an FPV drone (First Person View drone) showed the individual elements up close and flew through the motifs.
