Daryl has lived in Germany with his wife Dwan for more than ten years. After three seasons with the Augsburg Panthers, the 35-year-old moved to Munich before the 2014/15 season. With the Red Bulls, the Canadian-born player with German citizenship has become the DEL record player (currently 488 games) and has thus earned his nickname Mr. Munich.

Lessons with Brees
Even though the Bavarian capital has become a second home for our #6, there are still a few problems with the language from time to time. "I understand just about everything, but I speak very little myself," explains Daryl. Our defender can practice with his older son Brees, who is learning German in kindergarten and is a big fan of the Red Bulls. He makes no secret of that.
Flags, bedding and a poster of Dad on the bedroom door. The big duels are played in the living room, because that's the Boyle family's multi-purpose arena. "Usually, either field hockey or soccer is played here," Dwan says.
In the second episode of "Welcome to..." you'll find out how fate brought Daryl and Dwan together and what faux pas they occasionally make in Canada.
