"It's a great honor to be able to represent Germany. I'm really looking forward to it," explained Daubner after his call-up by national coach Harold Kreis. In addition to "Daubi", Ehliz and Varejcka, who was called up on Monday, will also be part of the squad for the Germany Cup.
"Daubi" is looking forward to his return to Landshut
At the prestigious tournament, the DEB team will face Denmark, Austria and Slovakia (all games live on Magenta Sport). This year, the competition will take place in Landshut, which means a little trip down memory lane for our number 70.
"I played at youth level in Landshut and also played my first professional year. My family will be coming to the games, which makes the whole thing even nicer for me," explains the 26-year-old, who is generally looking forward to the atmosphere at the games. "The Germany Cup is a great tournament. We're playing in front of a home crowd, which is something special for everyone."
