Very snazzy! Wiesn costume for our new players
Tuesday, 15. August 2023 | EHC Red Bull München: Dressing at Angermaier for Oktoberfest
Very snazzy! Wiesn costume for our new playersDressing at Trachten Angermaier// CURRENTIt's a tradition for the German champions: Before the Red Bulls go out and score goals, the newcomers are dressed for the Oktoberfest. With a costume from Angermaier - Red Bull München's partner since 2015. Our newcomers like the Oktoberfest outfit.
Dominik Bittner comes from Weilheim in Upper Bavaria. As a true Bavarian, his judgment naturally carries weight. Markus Eisenschmid and Nico Krämmer also know what makes a good costume. Understandably, this does not apply to all Red Bulls due to their origin. Our Bittner therefore flatly said, "Well, I think the costume suits our foreign players and coaches best." Because they first have to get used to the fit of their new clothes.

Wiesn anticipation at Almquist
"I've never been to the Oktoberfest before, this is my first time in Germany. So it's absolutely my first time in lederhosen," Adam Almquist described. He thought of Tracht more in terms of the traditional, flowery clothing worn by his countrymen at Midsummer (Swedish: Midsommar). His conclusion about Bavarian Tracht: "The pants fit well. They definitely feel different than my hockey pants. I'm looking forward to wearing them at Oktoberfest, though."

Quirin Bader, Sten Fischer and the Heigl twins Nikolaus and Thomas are now also ready for the Wiesn. The same goes for coach Toni Söderholm, co-coach Pekka Kangasalusta and sports specialist Lorenz Funk. Andrew MacWilliam, who was already under contract with us in the 2020/21 and 2021/22 seasons, already has his Angermaier costume hanging in the closet.
It's getting serious for the Red Bulls
Preparation is the be-all and end-all. This is true at the Oktoberfest and - even more important - on the ice. There it goes in the next weeks blow on blow: On the coming Saturday the Red Bulls test with the EV Zug (19 August, 4:00 p.m.). This will be followed by the Red Bulls Salute (August 26/27 - secure tickets now) at our tourism partner Zell am See-Kaprun with the semi-final match against the ZSC Lions (August 26, 8:30 p.m.).
The Champions League starts for our guys with the away game at Vítkovice Ridera (September 1, 6:30 p.m.). On September 14, the PENNY DEL gets serious: the home game against the Düsseldorf EG (7:30 p.m.) marks the start of the title defense project. Be there and get your tickets here.
