A lively start with clear advantages for the Red Bulls and an early lead: Captain Hager scored on the power play in his 300th DEL game for Munich to make it 1:0 (4.). The Red Bulls got off to a lightning start in the second period: Hager won the puck, served Kastner and he put Munich back in the lead after just 13 seconds with a shorthanded goal. But the Roosters were able to equalize through Brent Raedeke (27th). The guests' joy did not last long. 67 seconds after the equalizer, Munich was again ahead thanks to Eder (28.). However, the Red Bulls went into the break with a three-goal lead, as one second before the siren Ehliz celebrated the 6:3.
